About Home in Every Bite
Hi, I’m Monique. I’m from Cape Town, South Africa, & I’ve been living in the Netherlands for almost 4 years now. Since moving here, my love for cooking & baking has only grown stronger. After working in skincare therapy for 8 years, I decided it was time to follow my passion for food. I completed my chef studies here in the Netherlands & currently work as a chef at a catering company. But what I’ve really been dreaming about is bringing a little taste of home to fellow South Africans living in Arnhem & the surrounding areas. That’s how this small baking adventure began. On weekends, I bake some of my favorite South African treats - like beskuit, malva pudding, piesangbrood, and more. Orders can be placed during the week via WhatsApp or email, and you can choose to pick them up or have them delivered. This is just the start, and as things grow, I’ll be adding even more delicious goodies to the menu. I can’t wait to share these flavors of home with you!
